I just have a few more tweaks to do before my final piece is finished.
Adding the Annotations
Below is an example of how I added the annotations to my pieces. It is really simple, just involves placing the annotations in 3D space and making sure they’re positioned correctly on the Z axis.
Choosing a song
Throughout my project I have been listening to a lot of lo-fi music while I work, and for this reason I really associate my project with this genre of music. I think the genre as a whole is really peaceful and relaxing, so I think it is the perfect genre to accompany my piece.
Ideally, I would’ve created my final piece with the music in mind, so that I could match up the pacing of my piece with the tempo of the music, and have certain transitions happen at key points in the song. The music completely slipped my mind for this project though since I was so focussed on the 3D development, so I had to just find a piece that I thought fit my work well.
I spent hours listening to tracks from all of the free music sites that I know, but none really fit the mood of my piece like I wanted them to.
After scouring the internet I came across this website that had lots of lo-fi music covered under the Creative Commons Attribution license, meaning I can use it for my project as long as the original artist gets credit.
I found a few tracks that I liked on here, my favourite was called In My Mind by Deoxys Beats, and when I added it to my Premier file to preview it with the visuals, I knew it was the one. The pacing goes really well with my piece, the mood really reflects how I want my audience to feel and the key beat drop at the start of the song actually lines up really well with the end of my introduction. I got lucky finding a song that fits my piece so well, but in future I shouldn’t take this risk, its always best to assemble a piece with music in mind.
